To provide environmentally
friendly quality products
Our ceramic products stand out for their quality. They are made of 3 natural elements: CLAY, WATER and FIRE.
We collaborate in the preservation of the environment through the use of respectful and natural resources in our wide range of ceramic and coloured containers, thus limiting our impact on the ecosystem.
Our production process is optimised to be able to reuse clay and varnishes in the same process. In addition, we use clean energies such as gas to manufacture our products.

OUR HISTORY
1920 - 2005
Our family ceramic factory was founded in the town of Breda (Girona), in 1920 by José Planas, with the aim of satisfying the needs of the region: to manufacture refractory earthenware pots for cooking and pots for storing food.
In 1948, Joan Planas continued with the family business by adding an electric lathe, a rotary press, a biscuit maker, a wood-fired oven and an oil-fired oven. Later, Jordi Planas, who learned the potter’s trade with his father, incorporated new decorative elements into traditional ceramics, such as colours and prints.
2005 - Today
In 2005, Jordi Planas created the new line of food packaging and the entreprise expanded internationally.
We are currently working with the 3rd and 4th generation, bringing the development of new knowledge to the company, with the aim of consolidating ourselves as a 4.0 company to offer our customers digitalised control of ceramics and optimum quality standards.
CRAFTSMANSHIP and machinery
Preserving a line of ceramic articles made exlusively by hand is one of our primary objectives
We care for this artisan work and, through it, for the tradition and the beginnings of this millenary craft. With the line of handmade ceramic products, our customers can also enjoy large pieces for cooking.
The main production is made with an automatic production line, which allows us to dispatch orders in a short period of time. Our automated process offers a very precise finish, tailored to the customer’s needs.
We also have a semi-automatic line for products with irregular shapes. We create packaging adaptable to any type of design: animals, fruit, or any other natural element, such as a volcano.

INDUSTRY 4.0
Ceràmica Planas has been a beneficiary of the European Regional Development Fund whose objective is to improve the use and quality of information and communication technologies and access to them and thanks to which it has implemented a new ERP and traceability system, for the improvement of competitiveness and productivity of the company. Year: 2021. This has been supported by the Industry 4.0 programme of the Girona Chamber of Commerce.
INNOCÁMARAS
Ceràmica Planas has been a beneficiary of the European Regional Development Fund whose objective is to promote research, technological development and innovation, and thanks to which it has incorporated a new painting machine and an engineering and electronic product in the oven, to support the creation and consolidation of innovative companies at the end of 2020 and the beginning of 2021. To this end, it has had the support of the InnoCámaras Programme of the Girona Chamber of Commerce.
